Equine Assisted Psychotherapy

Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) is a form of treatment that incorporates interaction with horses (unmounted) to promote emotional healing.  In this type of therapy, clients work with a team which includes a mental health professional, an equine specialist and horses to achieve desired mental health outcomes.  In the past ten years, EAP has been recognized as a highly successful modality for the treatment of all types of mental health issues, including; PSTD, bi-polar disorder, addictions, anger- management, eating disorders and depression.

Locust Lane Riding Center offers EAP following the EAGALA model.
